About Waterdude Solutions
Waterdude Solutions provides Operations, Maintenance and Management services to Water and Wastewater treatment facilities. These services include condition assessments, program evaluation, and troubleshooting assistance. Waterdude Solutions also provides staffing augmentation, program support and management oversight to aid utilities during resource shortages.
Waterdude Solutions, LLC was created by Mark Walter in late 2016 to help others in the water industry. Mark is known for his demeanor and ability to help people work through tough issues. He is an effective observer who can orient quickly to facilitate decision making and action taking.
Waterdude Solutions experience includes over 35 projects with 14 different clients. Clients include large and small utilities, engineering firms and private industry. Client satisfaction is reflected by sixty percent of clients scoping additional projects with Waterdude Solutions.

About Mark Walter
Mark began his career in the late 80’s as an Operator at a mid-sized tertiary WWTP in Irvine California. From there he served as an Operator at Orange County California’s 100 mgd WWTP.
Mark began his Oregon career operating the Tri City WWTP, one of the first facilities using selector technology. While working there he cross trained in the operation of all County systems including Rotating Biological Contactors and an aerated lagoon.
Mark started his management experience at the Gresham WWTP as Operations Supervisor. He then went on to manage the Lebanon water and wastewater treatment plants. His duties at the time also included management of the Philomath water and wastewater facilities.
Mark became one of the first operations focused professionals to serve as a Northwest Water/Wastewater manufactures equipment representative. He created lasting relationships while helping owners, contractors and engineers with the application and service of various equipment and systems.
Mark then served as the Maintenance Division Manager for Clean Water Services. There he led a re-implementation of CMMS that incorporated predictive maintenance and failure analysis concepts into their maintenance program. Mark lead a successful department culture change process that was eventually adopted by the entire organization. It was during this time that Mark realized the power of organizational culture and how it effects performance.
Oak Lodge Sanitary District was Mark’s next challenge. As Operations Manager, Mark was responsible for WWTP O&M as well as laboratory, collections and stormwater programs. He provided operations coordination during the construction and startup of the District’s new WWTP. During Mark’s tenure the facility was awarded three consecutive Peak Performance Gold Awards from NACWA for permit compliance.
Service to the industry has been a signature of Mark’s dedication to the water industry, he has been an active member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) since 1988. Mark is a regular presenter at workshops and conferences throughout the region. Mark has also served on various committees and boards. In 2000 he served as the PNCWA President helping spearhead the name change and a shift to paid association management. Mark is a recipient of the WEF Arthur Sidney Bedell award for extemporary service to a WEF Member Association.
